I'm very happy because I was selected as one of the laureates of the "Un Voyage à Bologne 2022" competition, organised by La Charte des auteurs et des illustrateurs pour la jeunesse. Thanks to this programme, the 11 other selected illustrators and I will go to the Bologna Children's Book Fair next March to meet children's book publishers and authors, with, beforehand, training days to prepare us for these meetings.
Two of us illustrators were selected in Pays de la Loire, and I'm very happy to be able to make the trip with Sandrine Massuger, supported by Mobilis, but also with Tony Durand, Gaby Bazin, Romain Bernard, Caroline Gamon, Charlotte Lemaire, Célia Housset, Tom Vaillant, Romain Taszek, Romane Lefebvre and Fanny Blanc.
On Saturday 11 December, at 11am, I was at the mk2 Quai de Loire in Paris for a literary event around the book "Charlie et le champignon", written by Julieta Cánepa and Pierre Ducrozet and which I illustrated, advised by the scientist Marc-André Selosse, and published by the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle editions.
The four of us were there, and this event was aimed at children, to whom we talked about mushrooms and the underground life cycle. We started with a presentation of the story, some readings, explanations about mushrooms, and a live drawing of Charlie.
